This Dublin singer-songwriter and former Billie Barry kid is going to perform on Jimmy Kimmel
MEET RUTH ANNE Cunningham.
You may not be familiar with her name, but the Donaghmede native is kind of a big deal in the music industry. She has written hits like JoJo’s Too Little Too Late, Britney Spears’ Work B***h and Niall Horan’s recent smash Slow Hands.
And now she’s striking out on her own.
Cunningham, who is known professionally as Rooty, was recently signed to John Legend’s label and is now due to make her debut television appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night.
Cunningham is featured on an EDM number by violinist and YouTube star Lindsey Stirling called Love’s Just A Feeling. (Rooty’s vocals are featured on the track.)
You can listen to it below.
Cunningham got her start as a singer-songwriter when she won the Jacobs Song Contest in 2004. The former Billie Barry Kid has since written for the likes of One Direction, Professor Green and Pixie Lott.
Not bad for a girl from Donaghmede, eh?
